Two Days, Two New Websites

September 5, 2013 by Keith

In two days we’ve launched two new websites. One was a brand new website for Sheila King LMP. It is always exciting to work with a new client and create a new website where one did not exist before. The second site was a WordPress conversion for a long time client, Coleman Tape Specialties. This particular project was months in the making as we worked with then and trained them how to create and edit content, including a growing product catalog. Wow, two weeks in a row with two new sites launched.

Welcome Back Birchwood Presbyterian Church

August 29, 2013 by Keith

Birchwood Presbyterian Church is a long time client. We developed a site for them a number of years ago using an older content management system. Then about two years ago we converted that site to WordPress, and trained their staff how to make modifications to the theme and site content. Now they have asked us to again take a more active role in maintenance in addition to giving the website a fresh look.

In Response to Responsive Design

August 29, 2013 by Keith

One of the current buzzwords in website design in “responsive”. In a nutshell, a responsive website is one that adjust automatically to the viewer’s browser view area size. So if they are on a desktop, or tablet or mobile device they have a similar website experience.

Here are some juicy parts of an article by Kerry Butters I read this morning:

  • “Whilst responsive design has its problems, much like any relatively new technology or technique, it’s still worth choosing to build a site in this way. Nobody wants to go backwards and while it may be easier to build a mobile website, it’s much better to be as innovative as possible.”
  • “Googles advice is to use responsive design as the best way to design for mobile.”
  • “As mobile users may share a page with someone using a desktop…this should deliver the same content.”

Imagine Design Studio builds client websites using responsive design as much as possible. A great thing about WordPress is it makes doing so very easy.

New Client Website

August 28, 2013 by Keith

This past weekend we launched a new client website, Precision Endodontics, which was a conversion to WordPress. It is so refreshing to get clients excited about the possibilities WordPress gives their websites, and its ease of use. This project also different because the client came to us with an existing design they wanted to keep. We do not always design the sites we build, which broadens the scope of projects we are able to take on.

Now Live: Winners Sportswear

August 23, 2013 by Keith

Winners SportswearWinners Sportswear had a website that was a challenge to maintain and update because it was static HTML. We worked with Tony and Gordon to convert their site over to OpenCart, an open-source shopping cart. We even brought over their previous layout as much as possible. Now they can easily add products and update pages on their own.

Lisa does her absolute best EVERY VISIT to make your babies feel secure, safe and well-loved. In 2013 we converted the website to WordPress while keeping the look of the previous site.
